A question to ponder...

What would make a website memorable?
The fact is, we have all come across a website that we can consider cool, but why was that site cool? Would we remember what elements made it cool/unique? As a designer, I want to consider these questions, but I desire more than just a cool site. I want people to remember, I want them to come back.
